Re: What was the last movie you watched?
I've just finish to watch "The Lincoln Lawyer"
When I started to see thought I'd find in a typical thriller televised court in the afternoon. And despite its flaws, that is, the film is very entertaining, thanks mostly to the good rhythm that lasts throughout your footage, and charisma of the characters.
Brad Furman's work is quite correct, highlighting the tight end. As the cast, Matthew McConaughey shows that it can be a good actor when you have a character of weight on your hands. The protagonist is charismatic and makes the viewer sympathize with him easily, so easily meets Matthew.
Of the side stand Marisa Tomei, the always brilliant William H. Macy and Josh Lucas as the lawyer of the alleged victim. The only thing I was convinced Ryan Phillippe, who in some scenes clearly shows its limitations as an actor (there's a court scene thrown overboard by their low natural when it comes to mourn or show desperate).
Another aspect of the film slack is that the script has some topics too exploited and on gender and the outcome may seem conventional.
In short, is an entertaining thriller, surprising and a good cast.

Cat Ballou (1965)
A woman seeking revenge for her murdered father hires a famous gunman,
but he's very different from what she expects...
Cat(herine) Balou's family farm is being threatened by the Rail Road. She sends for Kid Shelleen, finding him to be the drunkest gunfighter in the west. When her father is killed by the rail road magnate's gunman, she vowes to fight on. Shelleen manages to ride sideways in several scenes, while minstrels sing the ballad of Cat Ballou in between scenes.
Cast:
Jane Fonda ... Cat Ballou
Lee Marvin ... Kid Shelleen / Tim Strawn
Michael Callan ... Clay Boone
Dwayne Hickman ... Jed
Nat 'King' Cole ... Shouter (as Nat King Cole)
Stubby Kaye ... Shouter
Tom Nardini ... Jackson Two-Bears
John Marley ... Frankie Ballou
Reginald Denny ... Sir Harry Percival
Jay C. Flippen ... Sheriff Ed Cardigan
Arthur Hunnicutt ... Butch Cassidy
Bruce Cabot ... Sheriff Maledon
Burt Mustin ... Accuser
Paul Gilbert ... Train Messenger
Trivia:
- Roy Chanslor's original novel was a serious western. The comedy elements were added for the film.
- When filming the scene where Kid Shaleen takes a bath and dons his costume, director Elliot Silverstein had all actions timed to the beat of a metronome, its pace increasing when Shaleen takes his guns. He planned to have the scene scored with Spanish guitars following this beat, but the producer was adamantly opposed to anything Spanish in a Western. In the end electric, guitars were used.
- The film's horse trainer told Elliot Silverstein that the scene where a horse leans against a wall with its front legs crossed could not be shot because horses don't cross their legs, then that it might be possible if he had a couple of days. Silverstein invoked his rank as director and gave him an hour. The trainer plied the horse with sugar cubes while repeatedly pushing its leg into position, and they were able to get the shot.
- Kirk Douglas turned down the role of Shaleen. Jack Palance desperately wanted the role but was never offered it.
- Ann-Margret was first choice for the title role but turned it down.
- At his acceptance of the Oscar, Lee Marvin opened by saying, "Half of this probably belongs to a horse out in the Valley somewhere".
- Nat 'King' Cole died several months before the film was released.
- This film inspired NBC to make two different pilots which aired on consecutive days in 1971. One pilot starred Lesley Ann Warren, and the other, Forrest Tucker.
- The painting in Sir Harry Percival's train carriage is not a Tintoretto. It is a Titian. The painting is a copy of Titian's "Sacred and Profane Love", painted c 1515. The original was purchased by Scipione Borghese in 1608 and is housed in the Galleria Borghese, Rome
- Ranked #10 on the American Film Institute's list of the 10 greatest films in the genre "Western" in June 2008.
- Like several other Columbia releases of the 1960s (i.e., Bye Bye Birdie, Strait-Jacket), this film includes a spoof of the studio logo, in this case with the Torch Lady doffing her robes in animation and turning into a cartoon cowgirl.
- Jane Fonda reportedly didn't understand the film when she read the script, but because she was under contract to Columbia Pictures at the time, she had no choice but to take the role of Cat Ballou.
Quotes:
Cat: Mrs. Parker didn't introduce us, I'm Catherine Ballou.
Jed: I'm drunk as a skunk.
Jackson Two-Bears: He's a murderer, a hired killer. His nose was bit off in a fight.
Frankie Ballou: If I was gonna be scared, I'd be scared of the fella who bit it off, not him!
Jackson Two-Bears: Kid, Kid, what a time to fall off the wagon. Look at your eyes.
Kid Sheleen: What's wrong with my eyes?
Jackson Two-Bears: Well they're red, bloodshot.
Kid Sheleen: You ought to see 'em from my side.
Kid Sheleen: Let's have a drink for old times' sake.
Butch Cassidy: Old times' sake? That means you got no cash.
Cat: Jackson, what's happening?
Jackson Two-Bears: It's ghost sickness.
Cat: What's that?
Jackson Two-Bears: In this Indian religion, see, we believe what the gods did when they made a man crazy was they made him fall in love.
Clay Boone: We can't hold up the train.
Cat: Why not?
Clay Boone: Lots of reasons.
Cat: Name 'em.
Clay Boone: We're rustlers, not train robbers.
Cat: Well, if people didn't try something new, there wouldn't be hardly any progress at all.
There are tear drops in her heart but they can't make her cry
There are tear drops in her heart but they can't make her cry
She's lost all the kin that she's known, and the tears will turn into stone
All the teardrops in her heart, 'cause they can't make her cry

Re: What was the last movie you watched?
aaawwww...The Princess and the Frog.... love it!! it was so nice movie
I've just watched "Taken" with Liam Neeson.
An intrepidant revenge action film, in which the star Liam Neeson does what every parent should do.
No crazy ghosts and the typical American action film, this movie us want to work for the CIA if only for a day if necessary to save a child.
Chapeau.
spoiler:
Best of all, no-nonsense when it comes to torture those who, yes, of course, they deserve it. Is there anything more sacred than one's own life, and that of your children.
